The Stormy LifeSaver is a quick response life saving device that is designed to assist those who have fallen into the water without wearing a PFD. The small, hard plastic casing provides convenient, all weather storage on deck or at a convenient location. It can easily be thrown 30 metres with accuracy to provide flotation as an inflatable life ring to assist rescue.
This product can be dropped from helicopters, bridges, cliffs, wharves, thrown from the beach or into the ocean to help anyone in trouble on the water. The Stormy LifeSaver creates buoyancy and support the individual in need of assistance. It will keep the individual safe until rescue can be deployed. The possibilities are unlimited.
The Stormy LifeSaver is water activated and uses a 33gm C0² cylinder and offers 150 Newtons of buoyancy. It can be re-armed and repacked by purchasing a recharge kit, making it a low cost option over time. Of course, as the LifeSaver is easy to reload it would be easy to train rescuers in the use of the product.
The Stormy LifeSaver has a compact casing that is easy to throw into the wind with ease and accuracy. To activate the Stormy LifeSaver remove the clip and it is ready to throw. Once it makes contact with the water, it will fully inflate within 5 seconds to become an inflatable life ring that is clearly visible in the water. The horseshoe shaped design ensures a person can swim while wearing it.
The outer shell stays attached to the life ring and works as an anchor in high winds to hold position in the water until those in the water can reach it. It has a strap that goes around the chest to ensure the user doesn’t become separated from the Stormy LifeSaver. There is an oral inflation tube that allows additional air to be topped up into the inflated ring if required
The Stormy LifeSaver needs to be stored where it is not likely to be damaged. The LifeSaver contains a pressurised C0² cylinder that should not be stored with fuels, solvents or other chemicals. It is sensitive to high temperatures (max. 50 degrees centigrade). Make sure that it is stored in a dry place at all times.
This product is manufactured by Hammar, imported and assembled in Australia by Stormy Lifejackets.
